Business recycling
Businesses in Orillia must be registered to receive curbside recycling collection. Collection takes place on a weekly Tuesday and Thursday schedule, with no holiday delays for business recycling unless the holiday falls on your scheduled collection day. View the
business collection zone map.
- Business recycling is provided under a separate City-managed collection contract, as the provincial recycling program does not include businesses.
- Only registered locations will be serviced, regardless of whether City-issued carts or recycling bins are currently used.
- Existing recycling boxes and bags may continue to be used until Sept. 1, 2026.
- Registered businesses are eligible to receive up to two recycling carts per business location.
- On mixed-use properties, residential units will continue to receive recycling collection through Circular Materials, while registered businesses remain eligible for the City business recycling program.
